8 Potion Making Activities To Try This Spring.

Spring has arrived, flowers are beginning to bloom, and according to the woodland whispers, the our Easter Bunnies are very busy preparing for the season ahead.

Deep in the forest, bunny burrows are being tidied, secret gardens are waking up, and magical helpers are mixing potions to help spring arrive in full colour.

Potion-making is the perfect activity for creating imaginative spring or Easter adventures together. We’ve put together a few fun ideas to inspire magical play at home this season.

Here are 8 magical potion making activities to try this spring.

✨ Explore the springtime potion kits and begin your spring adventure.

1. Garden Bloom Potion 🌸

Spring is the season of new life and growing gardens, and little potion makers can help the Easter Bunny wake up the flowers.

Take your potion kits outdoors and invite children to collect natural ingredients such as:

  • flower petals

  • daisies

  • dandelions

  • small leaves

  • blades of grass

Children can mix their potions while imagining they are helping the Easter Bunny’s secret garden burst into bloom.

Encourage them to sprinkle a little potion water near plants or trees and check back later to see what magical changes might appear.

2. Build a Bunny Burrow Potion Lab 🐰

Every potion maker needs a magical laboratory, and the Easter Bunny’s helpers often work from deep underground burrows.

You can create a cosy Bunny Burrow Potion Lab at home by using:

  • a table covered with blankets

  • a play tent

  • a large cardboard box

  • a small corner filled with cushions and fairy lights

Inside the burrow, children can use their potion kits to mix secret potions that help the bunny prepare for Easter night.

Adding a small torch or fairy lights makes the burrow feel extra magical.

3. Rainbow Egg Rescue Potion 🥚

Before the Easter egg hunt begins, the Easter Bunny sometimes hides special eggs that can only be found by children with magical potion powers.

Parents can hide a few toy eggs around the garden or house.

Before searching, children must mix a Rainbow Egg Rescue Potion using their potion kit ingredients. The potion gives them “bunny finding powers” to help them discover the hidden eggs.

You can even create little clues or riddles to guide them on their adventure.

4. Spring Fairy & Bunny Potion Party 🧚

Potion making becomes even more magical when shared.

Invite siblings, friends, or favourite toys to join a Spring Potion Party.

Each child can create their own unique potion and decide what magical powers it has. For example:

  • a potion that helps flowers grow

  • a potion that gives bunnies extra hopping power

  • a potion that brings sunshine after rain

  • a potion that spreads kindness

Children can present their potions and tell a little story about what they do.

5. Nature Trail & Treasure Hunt 🍃

Spring is full of wonderful natural treasures just waiting to be discovered.

Go on a nature treasure hunt together and collect small items such as:

  • petals

  • feathers

  • moss

  • interesting stones

  • twigs or bark

When you return home, children can add their treasures to a potion designed to help woodland creatures welcome spring.

This activity is a lovely way to combine outdoor exploration with creative play.

6. Bunny Energy Potion 🥕

Delivering Easter eggs around the world is a big job, so the Easter Bunny sometimes needs a little extra help.

Ask children to invent a Bunny Energy Potion that will give the bunny the strength and speed to hop from house to house.

Encourage them to imagine what each ingredient does. For example:

  • glitter might create super speed

  • pink petals might spread happiness

  • green herbs might help gardens grow

Children love inventing magical powers for their potions.

7. Magic Bloom Wish Potion 🌼

Spring is the perfect time to make wishes for the season ahead.

Using their potion kit, children can create a Magic Wish Potion.

As they add each ingredient, they whisper a wish for spring, such as:

  • more sunshine

  • flowers growing in the garden

  • fun adventures outdoors

  • kindness for friends and family

Parents can write the wishes down and keep them in a small “Spring Wishes” jar.

8. Potion Storytime Adventure 📖

Potion making can also inspire wonderful storytelling.

Once their potion is complete, invite children to imagine what magical adventure their potion creates.

Some ideas might include:

  • waking sleeping spring flowers

  • helping bunnies dig secret burrows

  • turning raindrops into sparkles

  • guiding the Easter Bunny on his journey

Children can draw pictures of their potion stories or act them out together.
